This is a story of a San Francisco boy and a San Antonio girl. One fateful day at Texas Christian University, everything changed. I second shot this beautiful day with William Martin Weddings, which meant I basically had no contact with them leading up to the event. But after the 11 hours that I spent with them that day, I felt like I knew them on a deeply personal level. I felt like I knew their life story, their family, their friends.
During one the many elevator rides that day, I asked Hannelore what her inspiration for the wedding was. "I just wanted everything to be super classic. I see so many people using these super bright, loud colors and while that's great for them, I wanted something a little less trendy. Something I definitely won't look back on in 5 years and wonder why I did that, you know?"
Hannelore was possibly one of the happiest brides I've ever photographed - as you scroll through the images, you'll rarely find one of her where she isn't glowing ear to ear, or sweetly giggling. Mark and I connected right off the bat via dry sarcasm. From the vogue bridal party, to the dreamy lobby of the St. Anthony, to taking off my camera for a brief dance battle with Mark, this day was everything a wedding should be.
