....During one the many elevator rides that day, I asked Hannelore what her inspiration for the wedding was. "I just wanted everything to be super classic. I see so many people using these super bright, loud colors and while that's great for them, I wanted something a little less trendy. Something I definitely won't look back on in 5 years and wonder why I did that, you know?"....Read More
This past Tuesday, the San Marcos chapter of the Rising Tide Society put on an incredible styled shoot workshop! A styled shoot is where vendors collaborate for networking and creativity purposes. What they put together was amazing - it was refreshing to think outside the box and not worry about having to make images for anyone other than myself. Enjoy!Read More
...The whole time we shot Linda's bridals, I felt like I was on a styled shoot (one of those fake wedding shoots vendors put together AKA great for inspiration but also somewhat unrealistic for actual weddings) - it was just so. unbelievably. perfect, I couldn't quite process the fact that this was an actual client. If I didn't know with absolute certainty that we were in Texas (but who could forget with 90+ degree temps), I would be tempted to think we had been whisked away to some exotic ruins in Spain. Linda's incredible dress (that she ordered OFF THE INTERWEBS [we live in the future])...Read More
Now that Courtney is #MARRIED, I finally get to share her bridals! I love her creative and adventurous spirit - the exact spirit that compels her to hike a small mountain in her wedding dress! Her whole look is pure, fine art elegance, and this stunning Texas hill country backdrop is the stuff of dreams.Read More
If professional snuggling was a thing, Hannah and Garrett would be millionaires. Seriously, I don't think I could have separated these two if I tried. They are SO thrilled to be engaged and it shows. We started off with a romantic urban vibe. We found two awesome locations that really gave off that downtown Dallas vibe and then I just let their personalities do the work! They totally trusted me when I asked them to do a "sorta fast and awkward jog" past me so I could intentionally mimic the motion blur of film. The end result was worth it!Read More
There is a brand new venue in Waco, Texas called Deerfield Estates - and folks, it is BEAUTIFUL. It made all of my white barn dreams come true. An incredible team of vendors, some of which were visiting from Pennsylvania, came together for this shoot and made some magic.
Fun fact: This is a real couple modeling! Callie and Taylor are friends of mine from church, and newlyweds themselves. They had a dark, rainy wedding day that was...Read More
You read that right - film! I'm slowly experimenting with film and looking for ways to incorporate it into my business next year. There's just such a clean, bright look to it that I cant get over.
Penelope happens to be a photographer-friend of mine, so experimenting with film during her session was a MUST. Also, can we talk about her red bottom shoes? And the gorgeous styling of the wine? That was all her creative little mind.
The whole time I was editing Claire and Drew's session, I kept hearing that song in my head "Baby, you're so classic!" Seriously, these two were so put together for their engagements, I love how their styles complimented! They currently live in DC but are getting married in San Antonio this October and I could not be more excited! The McNay provided the perfect, quintessential "San Antonio" backdrop for their images.
Tis the season for engagement sessions! But for real. I loooooove getting to spend time with my couples who are getting married this fall! They are the coolest people ever. Evie and Hayden were especially fun to work with - Evie's got some modeling experience, obvi. And Hayden was totally game for whatever I asked! We thought we were going to get rained out, so we booked The Lumen Room in Dallas, but the weather ended up being mostly clear, so we ventured over to the Dallas Arboretum for a little bit! Love these two.
This set of images was taken at the La Femme Workshop hosted by Boudoir Collective, a fine art boudoir blog and community. What I love about this set is the minimalism. The second half of the images feature only the woman, the lingerie, a chair, and a window - proving that you don't need lots of props or a fancy studio to create beautiful, fine art boudoir images.
