Magnolia Inspired Styled Shoot in Waco, Texas

There is a brand new venue in Waco, Texas called Deerfield Estates - and folks, it is BEAUTIFUL. It made all of my white barn dreams come true. An incredible team of vendors, some of which were visiting from Pennsylvania, came together for this shoot and made some magic.

Fun fact: This is a real couple modeling! Callie and Taylor are friends of mine from church, and newlyweds themselves. They had a dark, rainy wedding day that was still beautiful and intimate and full of personality - BUT. I think every bride still dreams of those sun-kissed images outdoors, with creamy skin tones and bright colors. To add it on, their wedding video was unfortunately lost. All those things put together, it was an honor to ask Callie and Taylor to model for these photos. It wasn't their wedding day, and it wasn't her wedding dress - but they got a second chance to dress up and be a bride and groom for one more perfect day. I know they'll treasure these images forever.

Couples Session on Film at Laguna Gloria

You read that right - film! I'm slowly experimenting with film and looking for ways to incorporate it into my business next year. There's just such a clean, bright look to it that I cant get over.

Penelope happens to be a photographer-friend of mine, so experimenting with film during her session was a MUST. Also, can we talk about her red bottom shoes? And the gorgeous styling of the wine? That was all her creative little mind.

Classic San Antonio Engagement Session at the McNay

The whole time I was editing Claire and Drew's session, I kept hearing that song in my head "Baby, you're so classic!" Seriously, these two were so put together for their engagements, I love how their styles complimented! They currently live in DC but are getting married in San Antonio this October and I could not be more excited! The McNay provided the perfect, quintessential "San Antonio" backdrop for their images.

Minimal + Vogue Engagement in Dallas, Texas

Tis the season for engagement sessions! But for real. I loooooove getting to spend time with my couples who are getting married this fall! They are the coolest people ever. Evie and Hayden were especially fun to work with - Evie's got some modeling experience, obvi. And Hayden was totally game for whatever I asked! We thought we were going to get rained out, so we booked The Lumen Room in Dallas, but the weather ended up being mostly clear, so we ventured over to the Dallas Arboretum for a little bit! Love these two.

Evocative Bridal Boudoir

This set of images was taken at the La Femme Workshop hosted by Boudoir Collective, a fine art boudoir blog and community. What I love about this set is the minimalism. The second half of the images feature only the woman, the lingerie, a chair, and a window - proving that you don't need lots of props or a fancy studio to create beautiful, fine art boudoir images.

Romantic Waterside Engagements in Wimberley, Texas

A picnic, some classic books, and a boat adorned with flowers. Cypress Falls Event Center in Wimberley, Texas was the perfect location. Normally, you pray for sunshine for an engagement session like this, but the cloudy almost-rain made such a peaceful and soft aura about the images, I can't complain. Looking forward to Courtney and Ross' wedding this fall!

Dramatic and Intimate Engagements in a Forgotten House

Will, Heide, and I had lovely plans to venture north of Dallas and do their engagements in a sun-kissed lavender field at sunset. Unfortunately, the weather didn't co-operate and we had to come up with a Plan B. Fast forward a few phone calls, and we had access to a secret location in Waxahachie, Texas. This session was definitely something different for me. Embrace the mood!

In-Home Couples Boudoir

Far from being awkward or voyeuristic, a couples boudoir session is an intimate and beautiful experience. With the right playlist and gentle direction, we work towards the images you see below.  This couples boudoir was in celebration of their 1 year anniversary.

The images below do not show my clients' faces. Any boudoir session in which a face is shown is a professional model that was hired for that express purpose.
